Huckaby Trail, Sedona, 6-6-09
This was a really nice hike in Sedona with the 3H hiking group. The Huckaby Trail trailhead is about a mile up Schnebly Hill Rd from Hwy 179 and ends at Oak Creek under the big bridge (can't remember the name) that is part of hwy 89A. Usually I end up going to Sedona with a car full of people and in a hurry to get to a trailhead, and miss all the designated "scenic views" along the way. So this time I drove myself, went early, and stopped at 4 different scenic view pullouts along the way to take pictures. The first 28 pictures are from these stops.
This hike was also significant because it was a fundraising hike for Breast Cancer Research. We had a picnic after the hike and proceeds from the meal went to this worthy cause. We had a great turnout. I ran into Diana, a fellow hiker I hadnt seen in a while (wearing black tank with black pants), who is also a shutterbug. So we ending up hikng together most of the time. She's quite the ham. LOL! This hike was short but a lot of fun!
